NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Charlie Daniels will host a benefit dinner at The Nashville Palm in support of The Journey Home Project. The tribute evening will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 9 starting at 6 p.m. and features a signature dinner, live auction, and celebrity entertainment.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception for sponsors, followed by a silent auction and The Palm’s famous Surf & Turf dinner. Auction items include a trip to Las Vegas, two AR-15 custom guns, handwritten lyrics from Charlie Daniels and two Randall Hedden performance art paintings. Individual tickets for the benefit are priced at $250 per person, and tables for eight guests can be purchased at both the $2,000 and $5,000 levels.

The program is set to begin at 8 p.m. with performances from celebrity entertainers Mandy Barnett, Ryan Weaver and Rodney Atkins. Barnett is a world-class vocalist who originated the role of Patsy Cline in the theatrical performance Always… Patsy Cline. She now sings a modern yet retro country music set that is true to Nashville’s style. Weaver served in the United States Military for many years before leaving the Army to follow his dreams of music. He is now a country music artist and calls Nashville his home. Atkins is a renowned singer-songwriter and winner of an Academy of Country Music Award for New Male Vocalist of the Year. His songs celebrate living in the moment and he is able to express this passion through music.

Honorary guest David Rutherford joins the event as an internationally known motivational personality. Rutherford served honorably for eight years in the Naval Special Warfare community as a SEAL student, Combat Paramedic, Operator and Instructor before following his dream of inspiring others through self-confidence and learning to live the ‘Team Life.’ Rutherford continues to serve as an International Training and Security Specialist for the US Government as well as a national private security company.

All proceeds of the Charlie Daniels benefit will be donated to The Journey Home Project, a not-for-profit organization founded by Charlie Daniels in 2013. This benefit evening will mark the organization’s first signature event. The project helps to secure funds for other not-for-profits that benefit veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Working alongside these organizations, The Journey Home Project’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of American patriots.
